Registration and Application Process
The next Examinations for all levels will
be held in Gainesville, at
especially arranged
premises in the University of Florida:.
Level A: Wednesday 14 May (morning)
Level B: Wednesday 14 May (afternoon)
Level C: Thursday 15 May (morning)
Level D: Thursday 15 May (afternoon)
Registration for the examinations will
take place between
February 1 and March 24, 2008. No
applications
can be accepted before or after these dates.
The registration fee for Levels A and B
is 65
Euro (=95 Dollars), and for Levels C and D is 75 Euro(= 110
Dollars). Checks should be made payable to the K. Kapparis,
and may be sent
in Euros or US Dollars.
(Note: Please
note that in the past few years the amount which the Greek Language
Center charges has remained the same. Unfortunately for US based
candidates, the unfavorable exchange rate from Dollars into Euros
has been forcing us to increase the fee every year for those who
pay
in Dollars. Neither the Greek
Language
Center (KEG) nor the University of Florida
view
the certification process as a commercial enterprise. These charges are
minimal and simply intended to pay for the administrative costs of the
Certification process.)
What documents are
needed:
Registration for the examination must
comply
with certain rules set by the Greek Language Center (KEG).
The candidate will need to submit the following:
1. Application
form
2. Questionnaire (PAGE
1, PAGE 2,
PAGE 3)
3. Formal Proof of ID (Namely: a
phococopy
of photo ID).
4. A check with the appropriate
registration
fee in Euros or US dollars. (See above)
Checks
should be made payable to: Center for
Greek
Studies
OPTIONAL MATERIALS
IF YOU WANT TO PREPARE FOR THE
EXAMINATION
YOU CAN ORDER FROM THE GREEK LANGUAGE CENTER THE QUESTIONS OF PREVIOUS
EXAMS (The following two forms are not required as part of the
registration
process. Whether you obtain the previous exams questions or not is
optional,
albeit highly recommended). :
Here are the two forms necessary
for this:
Catalogue
Order
form
You would need to consult the Catalogue and once you
decide which materials
you want, print the order form and send, with the necessary check, it
to
the Greek Language Center.
It would be adviseable to do so well
ahead of time. Checks
in Euro would ensure the quick processing of your order. If you find it
difficult to make a check in Euro, you could send an official check
from
your bank in Dollars, but in that case please make sure that you take
into
account the correct exchange rate, and allow for bank fees.
